Regenerating Exmoor and West Somerset by extending the hand of Christmas Goodwill

Linking to another local web site offers an easy and friendly way for business or personal web site owners to extend the hand of Christmas goodwill across Exmoor and West Somerset and will actively promote the regeneration of our local area in the New Year.

Simply identify a single web site that you are not already linked to which you think your visitors might like to hear about. Write a little explanation about why you think the web site is worth visiting and provide the link as part of your text.

An artist site might link to another artist site or even to a local potter. A hotel might link to a local farmers market web site or a craft shop. A local tea room that walkers visit might have customers who wish to know about a nearby hotel where they could stay.

Even owners of personal web logs (blogs) can help in the regeneration of Exmoor and West Somerset by including descriptions and links to interesting local places to visit in their blogs. Who knows? Promoting that local business through your blog may one day enable it to offer you or a member of your family a job.

For those who haven't got a blog, a simple search for 'free blog' will find many available at no cost on the Internet. (Why not treat yourself for Christmas?)

Responsible linking benefits both the giver and the receiver. People often return to web sites simply because of the useful links they provide.

By standing together and joining hands, the people of Exmoor and West Somerset can achieve local regeneration more rapidly and effectively than any number of capital expenditure projects costing millions of pounds.

Our future prosperity is in our own hands and it is truly a matter of local goodwill.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all.

Bye for now.
